Brainstorming #1

There were many ideas going through my head when thinking about a zine. There were many themes, like feminism, that sparked my interest. However, after some thinking, I decided to go for something that I really enjoy. After attending lecture and looking at some of the examples in class, the accordion-style zine caught my eye. It made everything look cohesive and I wanted a zine that incorporated some sort of progression.

Eventually I settled on a theme as well: the beauty of nature. I think I am going to go a trippy/surrealism-like route. I want to refrain from using manmade objects and solely focusing on the connection between nature and mankind. Here some photos that I have taken that might influence my pages:

As for the accordion-style zine, I have decided that I want each page to have a designated color palette and when you extend the zine, you can see the full rainbow. I think that not only it will be aesthetically pleasing, but also reflects the all-encompassing beauty of nature. I plan on using a quarter page.
